My birthday is this week :) My 21st to be exact. To celebrate getting closer to the pension, I had a shindig with some fire, some glow sticks, some face paint and a fair few friends.
Totally out of character I didn't really feel like picking up the camera until a fair chunk of people had decided to pack it in for the night [ also known as 'whoosburgers'].
It wasn't till about an hour before people were set to arrive that I realised I was up to my last shot of instax wide film !!! Luckily I had no film in the Diana so threw on the instant back instead.

I got Ash from Pokemon's cap ! And a Pokeball sippy cup !!!

It was great seeing friends and people that I hadn't seen in almost years, or so few times recently that it felt like years.
The camera I took these is has a wonderful way of telling you you've used all the shots on the film - it rips all the sprocket holes out of the last frame. It also refuses to rewind. I took the camera in to my photo place like I always do so they can throw it in their much-more-lightproof-than-mine bag/box and just quickly manually slide the film back in.
Unfortunately for me, as usual something had to go wrong.
The guy didn't understand at all and spent about 7 minutes [apparently] just winding the broken and freely turning rewind arm in the lovely changing box. Excellent. He then got it out and said that the camera 'said' it's rewound, and then proceeded to open the back of the camera in the bag WITHOUT IT DONE UP. Then, he DID IT AGAIN. Aaah excellent. He said that it hadn't rewound and that I had to go back the next day to get someone else to do it.
Now, I understand that due to it being Sunday and due to the place I take my film to [because it's usually got good, knowledgeable staff and their machines have the best colours] being a large store with many different departments that he wasn't 100% confident or familiar with anything film. But, I wish he would have just said that in the first place!
I ended up going down to the car in the underground car park, grabbing a black jumper I had on the back seat and doing it myself because I wanted to know how much of the film was damaged rather than waiting and thinking about it all night.
Turns out, luckily, I only lost about 2 shots and the rest were damaged. Phew. But. The guy scanned them in upside down / reverse / the film around the wrong way so the images are mirrored. Excellent. I know I can just flip them easily enough but that's not the point.
Anyway, here are the shots lol.

Pidgeon was too excited to wait until 6:00pm so he came over at 4:30pm :)
