So I've finally started doing up my bmx. I got it given to me from a friend a few years ago, and I've been a bit hesitant to start because it was his pride and joy since he was a young tyke and rode it every day.
But now it's time for a change!
Due to me not having the right part to get the pegs off, and also due to me being a lazy a*se, instead of taking the wheels off and taking everything apart properly to paint the frame i just used a heap of tape and plastic bags lol.
The old colour scheme of the bike was yellow, blue and red. The new one is purple, black and gold.
I did quite a few coats close together, then a final one along with touch ups a fair few days later.
I found that big w actually has half decent plastic pedals and grips too! $6 is genius for purple grips, and perfect for me working on a budget.
Next step is to gold chrome paint the pedals, spokes, everything like that. Then i'm going to top it off with a gold chain and it'll be schweet as!
