Almost there.

23 hours time i'll be on a plane to Melbourne, armed with a small duffel bag, a change of clothes and my limit of 4 cameras, a zoom lens, 60x instant films, 18x 35mm films, 6x 35mm slide films, 3x 110 rolls and 6x 120 rolls.

I have cut down. A lot.

But i think I have a good variety of cameras - i've got my Asahi Pentax SLR, my plastic fantastic Diana, my Holga fisheye, and a new 110 camera i picked up from an op shop, that bosts 2 lenses. Oh, and my 8mp mobile phone camera. Gotta love that :)

Anywho, to get into the spirit of the city, i thought i'd share a few fantastic photos of Melbourne i've coem accross. I hope to get some groovy photos of my own, which I will endevour to post asap - I plan on posting each day on my trip.

So try another flavour.

Twas a birthday, and an excuse for a party. A whipped up some flyers and chose the theme - fave muso.

The favourite term kind of got lost in the end. We had a Robert Smith, a Johnny Cash, Hannah Montanah showed up in there, I do believe a Bonnie Tyler and even Goldfrapp. I took on the responsibility of Adam Ant.

I threw a handful of disposable cameras over the tables to be used up over the evening, from the dinner at the wonderous Naked Bean, through to the usual drawl of the Gtown Club.

Success.

I'm attempting not to post any pictures that show people completely visable, so these are not the best by far - think of them as pieces from the story that we caught on film :)

Soon to be covered in foodstuffs
Ok, so I took about 5 cameras - so what?

Discovery Channel.

I want animal masks. It's true.

Then I could do things like this:

Okay, so that last one wasn't a mask. But it does give me some ideas...

A quick stop for chemicals and we're off.

Headed down to Sydney in search of cameras, coffee, and general coolness [literaly].
And ooh was I satisfied. Found fridges of weird films in the city, endured the traffic, realised that the 'blue' of the blue mountains stands for 'you need an eye test', and soaked up the town that is Katoomba - in all it's Art Deco glory.
Best event of the w/e ? Walking in to the 'Society for the Protection of Cats' Op Shop and scoring a Canon Autoboy II in perrrrrfect con - for - can you say $10 ... !
Enjoy this taster.

Close to one of the three sisters - how fabulous are the colours?

This could be the start of something, Jimmy.

Well then.

*cough, cough*

Hello there.

...

Ok enough of that. So, as it's late and i've filled my camers card, I thought i'd kick things off with a few pics from way back, starting with some gig photos. I had my trusty VGA mobile camera for quite a while, but then upgraded my phone so that a nicer 8mp could accompany me to various shenanighans.

Enjoy kiddies.
